Hello,

My name is Ron Baxter and I am the Pastor at the First Christian Church of McArthur. I feel blessed in every way in serving the Lord and fulfilling my role as Pastor. I want the surrounding community to know that the Church stands ready to provide comfort and support to anyone with a need.

A little bit about me ...

I was born and raised on a small farm in Ross County in the Londonderry area. I am a graduate of Southeastern High School at Richmond Dale. I retired as a Lieutenant with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in January of 2007.

I praise God for my spiritual walk and believe God has been preparing me my entire life for the Ministry. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from my career in Corrections, my college credits, my studies, worship, life experiences and 20 years service as an Elder in the Church. I served as Board Chairperson for four years and have been a member of the First Christian Church for over 30 years.

My wife Carolyn and I live in the nearby city of Wellston, where we have three children and seven grandchildren. We thank God for blessing us with a wonderful family, both immediate and extended. Through prayer, fellowship, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we look forward to winning souls for Christ along with the membership of the First Christian Church family.
